I met Jorge and Geena approximately four years ago. Immediately, I noticed a joy between the two of them that is rare and hard to find. After getting to know them, I watched how they treated each other, always exemplifying what true love means. But, what I noticed over the years was more than that. I noticed that their kindness doesn’t just stop at one another. It radiates outside of them, covering their friends and family and even strangers. Now, I was pumped for their wedding but the day of was so much more than I could have ever imagined. Every single detail and moment was filled with joy and love. From the girls getting ready to Geena seeing her dad for the first time, to the bride and groom’s first look to speeches that I swear could have gone on for hours. Geena and Jorge have a way of making everyone around them feel special and it was truly an honor to see all the people there express their gratitude back.
Geena’s dad said during his speech, “Everyone needs a Geena on their team.” He was referring to her amazing attitude and effort in high school sports and other activities she was involved in BUT, I want to take that one step further and say, everyone needs friends like Geena and Jorge in their corner. I feel extremely blessed to call them friends of mine and honored to have captured their special day.
